FARE Food Allergy Heroes Walk

Wheeler Food Allergy Awareness Club had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer at the FARE Food Allergy Heroes Walk as part of the Atlanta chapter in 2017! We connected with the Southwest Walk Manager from FARE. Our volunteers helped set up vendor tables, served as local support staff for vendors, distributed t-shirts to registered teams, and guided walkers through the 1.5-mile route. While volunteering, we gained valuable updated information about allergy devices, allergen identification signage, new food alternatives, and so much more.

We were so glad to be part of this educational event to spread awareness in the community. We encourage any beginning allergy awareness club to form partnership with national organizations such as FARE to broaden your network and form local connections!
